Thailand’s National Cyber Security Agency Enhances the Nation’s Cybersecurity Capabilities with Elastic
NCSA supports Thai agencies adopting Elastic Security as the primary security platform; over 1,000 government cybersecurity practitioners will receive training in advanced threat detection, investigation, and response using Elastic Security
THAILAND, December 4, 2025—Elastic (NYSE: ESTC), the Search AI Company, announced a collaboration with the National Cyber Security Agency of Thailand (NCSA) to bolster the nation’s cyber defence and resilience, with NCSA using Elastic Security as its primary security solution for the annual National Cyber Exercise 2025 (NCX 2025). This collaboration supports Thailand’s declaration of 2025 as a Year of Cybersecurity to protect its people, organisations, and the Thai economy from cyber threats.
Additionally, the collaboration will enhance Thailand’s cybersecurity defence capabilities, including strengthening cybersecurity experts’ skills, which is crucial to protecting its critical digital infrastructure.
Air Vice Marshal Amorn Chomchey, Secretary-General of NCSA, stated that “Elastic’s capabilities in Search and AI will be extremely important in establishing our cybersecurity stance, and also help agencies to innovate while mitigating potential risks.”
Elastic Security provides complete visibility across the entire attack surface that cybersecurity professionals, including Security Operations Centre (SOC) analysts, need to modernise their approach to detection, investigation, and response. NCSA will promote Elastic Security for security information and event management (SIEM) within the organisation, with plans to expand its use to other Thai government agencies in the coming year.
“Public sector innovation needs to be scaled concurrently with risk management,” says Ravi Rajendran, area vice president, ASEAN, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Korea at Elastic. “Organisations in the ASEAN region struggle with threats due to a growing skills gap in cybersecurity professionals, a rapidly evolving threat landscape, and a lack of quality threat intelligence. The timeframe for identifying and addressing threats before they proliferate is now a matter of minutes. In Thailand, Elastic is working closely with NCSA, using search and AI capabilities and Elastic Security Labs’ quality threat intelligence as a force multiplier for public sector security teams.”
Elastic supported NCSA’s cybersecurity efforts and implementation of Elastic Security across the Thai public sector by leading a hands-on Advanced Security Analytics workshop at their annual security training on September 5, 2025. The event was attended by over 1,000 cybersecurity practitioners from Thai government agencies, key industry organisations, such as the Ministry of Public Health, Ministry of Finance, and other organisations under the Critical Information Infrastructure (CII) Group. Participants acquired critical skills in cybersecurity and AI to respond to rapidly evolving threats, using Elastic Security for AI-driven security analytics.
Following the workshop, Elastic will also participate in NCSA’s NCX 2025 in December 2025, a simulated exercise designed to test the skills of cybersecurity practitioners from government agencies and CII organisations in responding to a realistic cyberattack. Elastic solutions architects and security specialists will attend the exercise to support the architecture and configuration of the solution.
